Nathan Hawkes is the Creative Director and Founder of Cocode Designs, where he is responsible for the development of the company and determining our direction and strategy.  He specialises in website design and development, but also has experience in print design and video editing.

Nathan has been a professional website designer since 2007, working with non-profit organisations and small and medium enterprises to develop their web presence.  He has a strong knowledge of the requirements of the non-profit and charity sector, having worked with charitable organisations since 2005.  Nathan was in charge of the digital marketing strategy of Wai Yin Society in 2006 where he managed and maintained their website through multiple evolutions, eventually bringing the site into the content managed world.  His experience has seen him work with other non-profit organisations, including the recent campaign for change in the Work Capability Assessment, and the North Manchester Community Partnership.

His experience isn’t limited to the non-profit sector – he has helped to develop the marketing portfolio for a number of new start-ups and small enterprises, including the redevelopment of Re-flective’s website in 2018, and the developing of branding strategies for new start-ups.

Nathan is a certified digital marketer with the HubSpot Marketing Academy and the Google Digital Garage.  He is experienced in digital marketing strategy and practices, including search engine optimisation, website analytics, and content management systems.  He is also qualified in digital media production and a qualified teacher and trainer.  As part of his teaching experiences, he has been responsible for developing and delivering courses in website management and blogging, and Computing for Beginners.  He has delivered training courses to a multitude of technical abilities since 2008, and was a Digital Mentor in 2009 with the UK Online Foundation.
